Movie at dusk The Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair will have Family Movie Night on Thursday, Sept. 2. "The Sandlot" will be shown, starting at dusk, at the Upper St. Clair Community & Recreation Center. There is no charge and families can bring a picnic and a blanket. Art in the Garden Washington County Historical Society will hold its 17th annual Art in the Garden 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept.12 at the LeMoyne House, Washington. The hour-long tour will proceed from the History Center down Washington Road to Clearview Common and return. The two-hour tour continues past Alfred Street up Washington Road to Shady Drive (at Rolliers), before returning to the Center. Along the way, the history of Mt. Lebanon's central business district will be discussed, old pictures shown, and architectural details pointed out. The tour includes two buildings that have been designated Historic Landmarks by the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation. Tour goers also will visit the Municipal Building's lobby to see the decorative murals and the Art Deco features. The tour is $5 for nonmembers and $4.50 for members. Tours of the museum will be conducted from 2 to 4 p.m. The 18th Century BBQ, featuring recipes from before tomato sauce was invented, begins at 4 p.m. Butter making also will be featured. From 5 to 6 p.m. will be a pistol, knife and tomahawk demonstration. A dice tournament with the game "Ship-Captain-Crew" is at 6 p.m. for fun and prizes.
