n In Upper St. Clair, children as young as 9 months of age can take part in fun activities along with their family members. The township is offering opportunities for kids of all ages, including camps and classes that focus on computers, cooking, all sports, crafts, art and more. n Kids in Castle Shannon, who have completed kindergarten through the age of 12 can have a great time at Castle Shannon's recreation camp in Hamilton Park. While there, kids can build crafts, create art and play sports and games. The camp runs between June 16 and July 25 Mondays through Fridays. n Summer fun is all about games, crafts, swimming, visiting performers and plenty more, along with a snack and lunch, at Camp Splash held at the Canonsburg Town Park. This year, Camp Splash will run between 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 30 and Aug. 8 for kids age 6 and up. Forty kids per week are able to participate. n Residents of Mt. Lebanon and their children will be able to take advantage of many programs, camps and activities throughout the summer months. Children's' camps include everything from tennis and art to baseball, ice hockey, soccer and tennis. Camp Chippeewee for children between the ages of 3 and 6 will be held between June 16 and July 25. Summer Playground Camp, for children who have completed Kindergarten through the third grade, and Youth Camp, for kids who have completed fourth through ninth grades will be held on those same dates. n Bethel Park's Recreation Summer Day Camp, for children between the ages of 6 and 10, will run between June 16 and Aug. 8. The municipality's Recreation Summer Fun Camp, for kids between the ages of 11 and 14, will run on the same dates. The camps are all about traditional summer fun. In addition, summer programs for kids who are interested in art, architecture, theatre, rifle, lacrosse, percussion, dance and much more will also be available. Registration for all programs will begin on May 5. n Scott Township Park will be the place to be between June 30th and August 1st, for kids who attend Chartiers Valley School District or live in Carnegie. Children who have completed Kindergarten through the sixth grade will be able to have a great time swimming, building crafts, enjoying sports and games. Sign ups are to be held on May 31 between 9am and 11:30 a.m. and June 2 between 5 and 7 p.m. in the Scott Township Pool Community Room, Main Park. Proof of residency will be required. n South Fayette Township's Summer Playground Fun program will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, June 23 through Aug. 1. Children must be 5 years of age to participate. The program offers the township's youngest residents many opportunities for playground activities, non-structured play, swimming, games and more at sites throughout the township.
