Black History Month
Duquesne University and the Office of Multicultural Affairs will host New Beginnings Gospel Explosion at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 in the 4th Floor Ballroom of the Duquesne Union. The event will feature performances by Duquesne University's New Beginnings Ministries Gospel Choir, Step and Mime ministries.

Conservatory Dance
Point Park University's Conservatory Dance Company will perform its annual concert Feb. 11-13 at the Byham Theater in the Cultural District. The concert will feature signature works choreographed by dance masters Gerald Arpino, Doug Varone, Daniel Parsons and Daniel Ezralow.
Ben Folds with PSO
Ben Folds makes his Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra debut for one performance only on Saturday, Feb. 13.
Ben Folds has earned a reputation for his wit, musicality and charismatic, energetic live shows and for being a leader in youth-oriented worlds of developing technologies and trends.
Tickets are $35-$90.
• Violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter will perform the Brahms' Violin Concert, Feb. 5 and 6, in addition to Beethoven's Symphony No. 3. Tickets are $12.50-$85.
• Video Games Live returns for a bonus round with the PSO and The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, Feb. 11 and 12. New this year is a world premiere of a new interactive Guitar Hero segment and Skype interviews with famous game composers from around the world. Arrive early for a video games festival including video game competitions and demos, a costume contest and prizes. Afterward, meet composers, sound designers, performers, and special guests. Pre-concert and post-concert activities are free to all ticket holders. Tickets are $30-$75.

Student artwork
Dara Puskarich, a senior art education major from Washington, will present a collection of her work produced when she was a student at Waynesburg University. The three-week exhibit will open with a reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8 in the Benedum Fine Arts Gallery. The show will run through Friday, Feb. 26. Admission is free.
Puskarich's displayed work will include paintings, drawings, ceramics and sculpture.
Art exhibit
Carnegie Museum of Art presents "Caricature, Satire, and Comedy of Manners: Works on Paper from the 18th through 20th Centuries" Feb. 13 through Aug. 15 in the Works on Paper Gallery.
'Fools'
Bethel Park Heritage Players will present Neil Simon's comedy "Fools" at 8 p.m. Feb. 19, 20, 26 and 27 and at 2 p.m. Feb. 21 and 28 at the Bethel Park Community Center.
