Bower Hill Volunteer Fire Department will host a Good Friday Fish Fry. Advance phone orders will be taken Thursday, March 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday, March 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 412-221-3497. Doors open at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, and close at 7 p.m. or whenever food runs out.

The junior fire brigade will have a bake sale at the fish fry for dessert.

St. Anne Parish in Castle Shannon will sponsor fish frys from 4 to 7 p.m. Fridays during Lent. Baked or fried fish sandwiches and dinners, shrimp, crab cakes, haluski, pizza, macaroni and cheese and pierogies will be served. For takeouts, call 412-561-0101.

Fish frys will be held 4 to 7 p.m. every Friday in Lent at Carnegie U.M. Church. Good Friday hours will be 2:30 to 7 p.m.

Choose from baked or fried fish, chicken, shrimp, fish sandwiches, mac and cheese, cabbage and noodles and dessert.

St. Mary's

St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Cecil will hold fish frys Fridays during Lent, including Good Friday. Lunch served 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; dinner served 3 to 7 p.m. Menu includes panko breaded cod (baked or fried), homemade crab cakes, shrimp in a basket, jumbo shrimp and pasta marinara.

VFW

Peters Township VFW 764 in McMurray will sponsor a Lenten Fish Fry from noon to 7 p.m. every Friday. The menu includes fish, shrimp and pierogies. Takeout is available. Call 724-941-2005.

Bethel Park American Legion Post 760 will hold its fish frys from noon to 7 p.m. Fridays during Lent. The menu includes fish, shrimp, pierogies, fries, hush puppies and clam chowder.
