WSO goes Latin

The Washington Symphony Orchestra (WSO) will take its audience to a fiesta at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 3 concert. The season finale at Trinity High School's auditorium will feature Latin music to end the 2007-08 concert season.

Free art demos

South Arts in Bethel Park will offer free art demonstrations during its spring show, "Primavera," as follows:

  • May 3 and 17, 11 a.m. to noon, Stephanie Blasch, acrylics;

  • May 14 and 28, 11 a.m. to noon, Marilyn Palamara, acrylics;

  • May 29, 11 a.m. to noon and 2 to 3 p.m., Kathleen Brown Lokay, watercolors.

Stage 62 performance

Stage 62 presents "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde Friday through Sunday, May 9 to 11 and May 16 to 18 in the Andrew Carnegie Free Music Hall in Carnegie.

Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. and Sunday performances are at 2 p.m. Call for reservations at 412-429-6262.

Karaoke Contest

Washington County Community Center in Canonsburg will host a Karaoke Contest 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 10. Children and adults may participate.
