USC Lacrosse for Kids Voice

In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, KidsVoice, a leader among Allegheny County child advocacy organizations, is promoting a Kites for Kids event to be held at the Carnegie Science Center on Saturday, May 2nd. The USC lacrosse players were happy to decorate many of the 5000 kites to be used at the event next Saturday; each representing the 5,000 children KidsVoice represents in abuse and neglect cases each year.

Back row: Austin Himler, Matthew Schmitt, Kenny Rapko, Charlie Fletcher, Connan Rooney, Noah Henning

The participation of the USC Boyce Middle School lacrosse team members was 100% due to the encouragement from their Head Coach, Phil Enck, who merely stated, "color a kite for kids who need help".

Kites for Kids at the Carnegie Science Center will be a day of fun, entertainment, games and activities. Participants will be able to fly kites and receive flying tips from experts!
