Breast Cancer advocates and survivors from Pennsylvania recently traveled to Washington DC to thank Congressmen Tim Murphy and Mike Doyle for his support of breast cancer legislation and present him with an award from the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) for achieving a perfect record. "Tim Murphy recognizes that combating breast cancer is a formidable task, one that can only be accomplished with good science, adequate funding, effective treatments and comprehensible awareness and education. He has taken the lead in supporting meaningful legislation to accomplish this. The Pennsylvania women, part of the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Advocacy Network, recognized his strong commitment and were pleased to present him with the National Breast Cancer Coalition's Certificate of Excellence Award to him," said Donna Duncan, executive director, Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation and NBCC board member.
