Seniors picnic

Peters Township Park Department will hold summer picnics for seniors from 5 to 6 p.m. at Shelter 4, Peterswood Park, on the following dates:

n July 15, John Webber will speak on the origin and meaning of names.

n Aug. 12, John Lege will offer an exotic bird presentation with more than 15 birds.

Bring a covered dish to share.



Drivers safety

Canonsburg General Hospital and the AARP will offer a refresher course for drivers 55 and older at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 16 in the McNary Conference Center.

Course covers age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules of the road, local driving problems and license renewal requirements.
