Goodwill toward others is supposed to be the slogan during this holiday season. It is also the time of the year when we must be the most aware of our surroundings and personal possessions. There already have been several incidents in local police reports of thefts and vehicle break-ins. With our minds preoccupied with all the things we must get accomplished, we tend not to think in terms of safety as we scurry along. Keeping a firm grip on those packages as you get shoved among the crowded stores is a good idea. Maintaining a close eye on purses, wallets, credit cards and cash is also just as important as getting the best price on a potential Christmas gift.
