Representatives of 60 schools from nine states will come to California University of Pennsylvania looking for teachers to staff their classrooms in the fall. The "Teacher Recruitment Fair" is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Hamer Hall. In advance of the fair, recruiters sent lists of the positions open in their schools, geographic locations of their districts and other information that help graduating seniors and alumni decide if they are interested in working for those districts and assist in preparing for the interviews. A list of the schools attending is on the Career Services web site at www.cup.edu/careers under the "Job Fairs" link. Although most of the recruiters are from out-of-state schools, ten (10) Pennsylvania school districts along with PA-Educator.Net, a clearinghouse for Pennsylvania teachers, will be represented. Pre-registration is $5 and is available online at www.cup.edu/careers <http://www.cup.edu/careers> . Registrants at the door will be charged $10.00. Fairs are being conducted at State System of High Education universities in Edinboro, IUP, Clarion, and Slippery Rock during the week, with California on the last day of the week-long event.
