2014 PIAA Class AA state champions: Seton-La Salle girls’ basketball team by virtue of a 58-50 victory against Neumann-Goretti. It was the Lady Rebels’ third title in school history and second in the last two seasons. Yacine Diop, Naje Gibson, Cassidy Walsh and Nicolete Newman accept the spoils of victory, a giant Hershey bar along with the PIAA Class AA championship trophy. Diop and Gibson, both seniors, and Walsh, a junior, are all Pitt recruits. Diop scored 10 points, grabbed 24 rebounds and blocked six shots in the win.
