Sixth grade students in Barbara Hartz’s Introduction to Foreign Language classes at Neil Armstrong Middle School in the Bethel Park School District combined science, geography and German into an assignment that had them creating weather forecasts for world and state capitals. The students answered the question, “Wie ist das wetter?” (“What is the weather?”) by researching weather conditions around the world and creating posters to depict the conditions in each of the cities they researched. Then they presented their weather forecasts in German to their classmates. With their weather posters are Regan Gray, Morgan Kinman, Antonio Fontana and Josh Ye.
