New Green Tree Junior Councilman is class president

Chandrasekar Muthiah, a junior at Keystone Oaks High School, was sworn in by the mayor as the newest junior council member in Green Tree Borough.

He is junior class president and is on the soccer and tennis teams.

Chandra is student senate vice president, Future Business Leaders of America region treasurer, Spanish Club treasurer and is active in Peer Jury, Health Careers Club, Academic Team and Science Team and Math Club.

He is the son of Muthiah Arunachalam and Geetha Muthiah and has one brother, who is studying pre-med at St. Bonaventure University. Chandra also wishes to become a doctor and is a volunteer with patient escort at St. Clair Hospital. He teaches tennis clinics during the summer.

He recently qualified in Parliamentary Procedure at the state PBLA Regional Leadership Conference hosted by Keystone Oaks, enabling him to attend the state Leadership Conference in Hershey, Pa., in April.
