• The Police Pals will play the Pittsburgh Steelers Basketball Team at 8 p.m. March 8 in the Bethel Park High School gymnasium. Tickets are $7 and may be purchased at Evey Hardware and Eat ‘N Park, both on Route 88, during regular business hours. Tickets may also be purchased at the Bethel Park Police Records Room from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Tickets at the door will be $9. Pregame activities will include a game between the Bethel Park Police Department and the Bethel Park Fire Department starting at 6:15 p.m. Concessions will open at 5:30 p.m. There will be an opportunity to get autographs during halftime. South Fayette Township

Pennsylvania American Water announced the start of construction to repair a portion of aging water main along Boyce Road. The approximately $70,000 project will support maintenance on a section of the water main that was originally installed in the early 1950s. Created: 20120905 SJJ -->

Pennsylvania American Water and its contractor, Casper Colosimo & Sons, Inc, will replace the existing 36-inch prestressed concrete cylinder pipe with new ductile iron. The next electronic recycling program will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. March 9 in the township parking lot near Clair’s Kennel.
