Rep. Murphy disappointsPublished Feb 27, 2013 at 12:31 pm (Updated Feb 27, 2013 at 12:31 pm)
Representative Tim Murphy had agreed to meet with a group of South Hills constituents on the evening of Feb. 19. A few hours beforehand, he abruptly cancelled.
In this polarized political climate, this group was interested in opening a dialogue about a number of issues that impact all of his constituents. We had sent him a list of topics so that he could prepare some remarks about his plans for action on pressing issues to all Pennsylvanians, such as gun violence, voting access and the sequester. We were disappointed that he chose not to attend and participate in the lively and informed discussion that took place in his absence.
