Small Business event

The South Hills Small Business Institute, part of the South Hills Chamber of Commerce, announces its first annual Small Business Conference to be held from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. March 28 at the Crowne Plaza in Bethel Park.

Titled “CSI: Connect, Strategize, Innovate,” the conference will address issues small businesses are facing every day, by educating and empowering them to achieve success.

Keynote Speaker will be local celebrity Darieth Chisolm, co-anchor for Channel 11 News at 11 and owner of Fullbody Fitness, a fitness facility located in Brentwood.

Registration and continental breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. with workshops starting at 9.

Cost for the event is $60 for chamber members and $85 for non-members, which includes breakfast, lunch and all workshops. Vendor packages are available for $75.

CCAC South Job Fair

Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) South Campus Job Placement & Career Services will host a Spring Job Fair from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. March 21 in Building B on the fourth Floor Commons.

This event is free and open to the public. Individuals attending this event should dress professionally and bring a copy of their resume.

Delano to speak

KDKA-TV Money and Politics Editor Jon Delano will present “Post Election Wisdom Regarding Jobs, Employment and the Economy” at the April 1 meeting of the Pennsylvania Professional Employment Network (PAPEN).

This special quarterly event will take place from 7-9 p.m. at Westminster Church, Upper St. Clair. Networking and refreshments begin at 6.

Nominations sought

The Salute to Senior Service program, sponsored by Home Instead Inc., honors the contributions of adults 65 and older who give at least 15 hours a month of volunteer service.

Nominations will be accepted through March 31. Online voting will be held April 15-30. To submit a form online, visit www.SalutetoSeniorService.com. Forms also can be mailed to Salute to Senior Service, P.O. Box 285, Bellevue, NE 68005.

Easter photos at SHV

Simon Property Group, Inc. will host its annual Easter celebration festivities at South Hills Village.

The Bunny Photo Experience runs through March 30 at the Lower Level North Court. Kids will have the chance to visit with the Bunny and take home a treasured snapshot.

Additionally, the Caring Bunny event will offer families who have children with special needs a subdued environment to participate in the Bunny Photo Experience. From 9-10:30 a.m. March 24, many steps will be taken to reduce sensory triggers.
