Yellow Pages are unnecessary today

Today I found a copy of the Yellow Pages, wrapped in plastic, dumped in my driveway. Perhaps you’ve received one, as well, and, like me, are scratching your head wondering why, in this age of Google and Craigslist, they’re still printing and distributing the Yellow Pages. What a waste of valuable resources!

Before you toss that five-pound dinosaur into your trash, remember: you can recycle it along with your paper and other recyclables. Even better, you can opt out, so you will no longer receive the Yellow Pages. The opt out site is, or you can call 1-800-888-8448.
