With the local Marcellus Shale boom, energy has become a hot topic in the region. On April 4, Washington & Jefferson College’s Center for Energy Policy and Management is hosting its 2013 Energy Summit, U.S. Energy Security: How Do We Get There?

The summit takes place at the college’s Rossin Campus Center and features keynote speaker General Charles F. Wald, director, Deloitte Services and leader, Deloitte’s Department of Defense Practice. Two panel discussions will take place – one on U.S. Energy Security and the Unconventional Oil Boom, and one on U.S. Energy Security and Shale Gas: The LNG Debate, which debates the issue of exporting Shale gas to countries such as Japan.

The course has been approved for three substantive hours of PA CLE credit, and a cocktail reception will follow the summit.

Cost is $50 for W&J alumni and Washington County Bar Association members and $100 for all others.
