‘The Monster Under the Bed’

Looking Glass Theatre, Little Lake Theatre Company’s Theatre for Young Audiences, presents “The Monster Under the Bed” by Kevin Dyer, an area premiere play for the whole family, through Aug. 24. Ben is having a grouchy morning. So is his mother. In a rush and barely awake, she accidentally hands Luke (the Monster under Ben’s bed) the lunch box and off they go; she to work, Luke Monster to school in Ben’s place. With delicacy and wit, the play explores themes of friendship, bullying and facing up to your fears. Directed by Little Lake Theatre’s Artistic Director, Sunny Disney Fitchett and starring Alyssa Cuddy, James Curry, Shannon Curry, Mason Dowd, John Herrmann, Renee Ruzzi-Kern, Nicholas Staso and Helga Terre, “The Monster Under The Bed” is Looking Glass Theatre’s final play of the season. Performances are at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, and 1:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For ticket information, call the Little Lake Theatre box office at 724-745-6300 or visit www.littlelake.org. Pictured are Alyssa Cuddy as Celine and James Curry as Luke Monster.
