Murph tourney

The Murph Holiday Volleyball Tournament will be held Dec. 21 in the Bethel Park High School gymnasium.


Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the gym lobby. A players meeting takes place at 8:30 and action commences at 9.


Fee is $120 per team. Up to 10 players can register for a team. Makes checks payable to Bethel Park Boys Booster Club).


There are three divisions: men’s open (college level, club, alumni), high school (men) and coed (high school, college women, coed college level).

Lifeguard course

The Upper St. Clair Swim Club will hold an American Red Cross Lifeguard Recertification Class Dec. 22 at the high school pool. Participants must hold a current lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate. Visit www.uscswimclub.org to register or for more details.


Indoor hockey


Dec. 22 is the deadline to register for indoor hockey through the sports ministry at Calvary Full Gospel Church in Bridgeville.


Boys and girls, ages 5-18, are eligible. First game is on Dec. 29.

Swim lessons

Registration is being accepted for the Upper St. Clair Swim Club’s Learn-to-swim group lessons.


Sessions will be offered Saturdays beginning Jan. 11 at the high school pool. Classes are offered at 1:15 or 1:50 p.m. Fee is $88 for five sessions. Visit www.uscswimclub.org to register or for more details.


Bower Hill swim club

The Bower Hills Swim Club is seeking members.

Lebo skating

Registration for Mt. Lebanon’s learn-to-skate group lessons is being accepted online at www.mtlebanon.org or by phone at 412-561-4363.


On-going general public registration begins Jan. 11 at the ice rink.


Classes meet once a week and are taught by a PSA professional.


Fees are $132 for 40-minute classes or $122 for 30-minute sesssions. Fees include USFS membership.


WROC open gym

The Westminster Recreation and Outreach Center will offer adult basketball from 8:10-10 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays beginning Jan. 6 and adult volleyball Tuesdays beginning Jan. 7. Fee for the open-gym activities is $25.

Tom Alper’s elite camp for kickers, punters and long-snappers will be held 6:45-9:45 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Robert Morris University Sports Bubble, located on Neville Island. Grades 6-12 are eligible.
