Mt. Lebanon Library benefit
Many of the Pittsburgh region’s finest craft beers at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library’s fourth annual Brews for a Chili Night, 6-8:30 p.m. Feb. 1.
All-inclusive tickets, $30, are on sale at the library’s front desk. Special donor tickets are available for $50.
All proceeds of the event, sponsored by the Friends of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library, will be donated to support books and programs at the library.
Chili will be provided by Café io, Gaucho in the Strip District and more than 20 volunteer chefs from the library community. Desserts also will be available.
The event will feature music by the Retro Agents, who perform instrumental vintage rock and surf music.
The number of tickets is limited and there are no plans to sell tickets the day of the event.

Washington City Mission’s 20th Annual Sweet Sunday takes place Feb. 9 at the Southpointe Hilton Garden Inn. Guests will enjoy an array of delicious desserts, entertainment and family activities. An auction event helps to raise funds for the City Mission, which provides meals, shelter, medical care and councelling for the homeless and poor in the region. Mt. Lebanon Junior Women’s Club
The Unmasking Fear, Building Hope masquerade ball hosted by the Mt. Lebanon Junior Women’s Club on March 1 will raise funds for A Child’s Place at Mercy’s new Child Advocacy Center location in Washington County. The event takes place at Duquesne University’s Power Center Ballroom, and will feature Mardi Gras-flair. Food stations, open bar, silent auction and a luxury basket raffle are all part of the $85 ticket price for the black-tie optional event. For more information, visit www.mljwc.com.
JCC Big Night
The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh will hold its eighth annual fundraising event, JCC Big Night: Game On, on March 8 at the JCC in Squirrel Hill.
The event will include music, dancing and food.
