Tools stolen: David Ainscough, 140 Mawhinney Road, reported at 8:26 a.m. April 23, that several tools were stolen from his work van, township police said. Ainscough said he last saw the tools in February and recently discovered them missing. Stolen were a quickie saw, valued at $1,200, a bull float, valued at $125, and three bull float handles, each valued at $30, police said.
Scrap metal stolen: Coleman-Mitchell Hearing and AC Inc., 134 Wilson Ave., reported scrap metal on the side of the building and on a trailer was stolen before 10 a.m. April 25, township police said. The value is between $400 and $500.
Attempted burglary: Damage to the door to the concession stand in Venetia Park, 800 Venetia Road, indicated an attempted burglary, township police said. The attempt was made between 4 p.m. April 19 and 1:09 p.m. April 21, when the report was made, police said. There was no entry.
Money stolen: A man told police he left his wallet on the front seat of his pickup truck while the truck was being serviced at the Jiffy Lube, 2869 Washington Road, and when he returned, the man discovered $42 was missing from the wallet, township police said. The theft was reported at 3:22 p.m. April 22.
Retail theft: Police are searching for an individual who is accused of shoplifting more than $200 in merchandise from Walmart, Racetrack Plaza, at 7:24 p.m. April 16, township police said.
Men charged: Police responded to the 500 block of Carothers Avenue at 12:13 a.m. April 17 where officers found two men fighting, police said. Marlo Gregory, 49, of 219 Moffat St., Carnegie, and Martin Clinton Gregory, 47, of 530 Carothers Ave., were charged, police said. Martin Gregory was charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail for arraignment after being charged with criminal mischief for kicking the window of the police car, police said. Marlo Gregory was charged with public drunkenness and was placed in a holding cell until he was sober, police said.
Coins missing: An unknown number of coins were discovered missing following a family gathering between 1-4 p.m. April 21, township police said. The location was not given.
Retail theft: Sharon Kay Reigh was charged with retail theft after taking more than $200 in items from Lowe’s in Raceway Plaza, police said. Reigh, 44, of Burton Ave., Washington, was charged at 4:57 p.m. April 21.
Man arrested: Isiah Bannister, 19, of 193 Regal Court, Monroeville, was charged with possessing a prohibited weapon at 1:10 p.m. April 22, in the 600 block of Lindsay Road, police said. A male juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief during the same incident, police said.
Drug charges: Christopher Wilson, 30, of 10 Holland Ave., Braddock, was charged with violating the drug act during a traffic stop at 9:31 p.m. April 22, township police. The report did not indicate where the traffic stop occurred.
Aggravated assault: A homeless woman, Karen Iorio, 51, was charged with aggravated assault and public drunkenness following an incident at 12:56 a.m. April 26, at the Get Go, Washington Avenue, police said. While at the police station during a pat down for weapons or contraband, Iorio assaulted officers, police said. She was taken to the Allegheny County Jail for arraignment.
Wallet stolen: A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of Locust Street, police said.
SOUTH FAYETTE TOWNSHIP
Vehicle break-ins: Three unlocked vehicles parked on either Longview Circle or Pine Valley Drive were entered and items stolen, township police said. Missing were wallets, cash, change and credit cards. The break-ins were reported at 8 a.m. Thursday.
