Creighton Hottel, son of Dennis and Debra Hottel of Bethel Park, was named to the spring dean’s list at Penn State University, University Park campus. Creighton graduated with a supply chain management and information systems major and a minor in economics. He has accepted a position as a vendor managed inventory administrator with HJ Heinz in Warrendale.
Melanie Hottel, daughter of Dennis and Debra Hottel of Bethel Park, was named to the spring dean’s list at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). Melanie completed her freshman year as a nursing major.
Alexandra Meyer, who recently graduated from Bethel Park High School, is the recipient of the $4,000 George Meyer Scholarship from the Bethel Park Lions Club. She will attend Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, and will major in nursing.
William Round graduated from Brown University with an A.B. in economics. He was an All-Ivy selection in lacrosse and All-American in lacrosse at Mt. Lebanon High School. Will is now an investment banking analyst with UBS in New York.
Mitchell Bayne, a University of Pittsburgh student from Cecil, received a grant from Pitt’s Outside the Classroom Curriculum (OCC) Advantage program to study abroad this summer in Valparaiso, Chile. Bayne, a senior majoring in neuroscience, will study Spanish and shadow employees in HIV health clinics. He is also completing a minor in Spanish at the University of Pittsburgh. Bayne is the son of Richard and Kelli Bayne.
Benjamin Pritz, son of Chris and Karen Pritz of Venetia, graduated summa cum laude as the salutatorian from Boston University’s College of Engineering with a degree in biomedical engineering. He was also a Boston University Trustee Scholar. A graduate and valedictorian of Peters Township High School, Benjamin was a National Merit Scholarship Recipient, National AP Scholar and Student of Distinction, and an Eagle Scout. He will attend the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in the fall.
Ellen Dietrick, daughter of Mark and Claire Dietrick of Mt. Lebanon, was named to the fall dean’s list at John Carroll University. A communications major, she is a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School.
Joseph Vilsack, son of E.J. and Lisa Vilsack of McMurray, was named to the fall dean’s list at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. A marketing major, he is a graduate of Peters Township High School.
Jonathan Heintz, son of Richard and MaryBeth Heintz of Bethel Park and graduate of Seton-LaSalle High School, was named to the spring dean’s list at Robert Morris University. The mechanical engineering major is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
Angela Heintz, daughter of Richard and MaryBeth Heintz of Bethel Park and graduate of Seton-LaSalle High School, was named to the spring dean’s list at Duquesne University. A health sciences/occupational therapy major, she is a member of the Duquesne Women’s Basketball Team.
