Woodring wins

Lauren Woodring of Bethel Park won the women’s division during the PNC 10-miler race held in Atlanta. It was the second straight year, she won the event. Woodring clocked in with a winning time of 59 minutes, 54 seconds. Earlier, this fall, she won the Joey Fabus Super Hero 5K with a 17:51 time.

Night at the Races

The South Fayette High School softball boosters will hold a night at the races Nov. 11 at the Cuddy Fire Hall on Millers Run Road in McDonald. Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner is at 6 and races start at 7. Tickets are $25. Cost for a horse or a jockey is $10 each. There will be a 50/50 raffle, silent and Chinese auctions and a paint stick giveaway. For tickets email gkormick@yahoo.com or call 412-498-6893.
