FLU SHOTS

SR. HEALTH

A senior health fair and immunization clinic will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Peters Township community recreation center, 700 Meredith Dr. All senior citizens can attend. FISH FRY

The Bethel Park Lions Club will hold a fish fry Sept. 20 in Lions Park, located at 5757 Irishtown Rd. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dinner runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Price is $16 per person. Kids meals are $5. Meals are available for eat in or take out.

CKIDS

The CKids Rosh Hashana Airlines will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Chabad of the South Hills location at 1700 Bower Hill Rd. A fanny pack and luggage tag will be gifted to each child. LEBO ART

The 10th annual Mt. Lebanon Artists’ Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 28 and 29, in the Academy Avenue parking lot, just behind the Mt. Lebanon Saloon. The juried arts festival will feature 67 artist booths. There will be an expansive collection of 2D work, jewelry, wood, sculpture, glass, ceramics, fiber, wearables, mixed media, leather and metal. SPIDERS

An event highlighting spiders will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Peters Township community recreation center. Ages 3 to 5 accompanied by an adult can attend. PT SAFETY

Peters Township will host a public safety day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 12 at the police department, located at 200 Municipal Dr. Police, fire and EMS will present a day of learning along with emergency vehicles and equipment displays. There will be CPR demonstrations, mock crime scenes, crash reconstruction, police station tours as well as visits from the North Strabane K9 Unit and the Pittsburgh Police Mounted Unit. MAGIC SHOW

The annual three-day Mediterranean food festival will be Sept. 27-29 at the St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church of Bridgeville, located at 3230 Washington Pike. Hours are noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Hand-made items by church members include generational recipes like grape leaves and kibble. HAUNTED TRAIL

The Peters Township Haunted Trail will be held from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Oct. 4 and 5 beginning in Peterswood Park at the community recreation center. The 24th annual event is titled ’80’s Horror Night. There will be hayrides, a DJ and Auntie Anne’s food truck. Participants should wear proper footwear for weather and uneven terrain. Admission is $5 and tickets can be purchased at the event only. CRAFT SHOW

The Labouré Ladies Guild ‘s annual “Joy of Christmas” Craft Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at St. Louise de Marillac School and LeGras Parish Center, located at 320 McMurray Road in Upper St. Clair. In addition to 115 artists and craftsmen, there will be a bake sale, crafts raffle and 50/50. Lunch and snacks will be available for purchase. SH CHABAD

The Chabad of the South Hills presents Faith & Resilience Israel after Oct. 7 with guest speakers Moria Azulay and Or Barak.

Azulay served as a combat soldier in the Jordan Lions Battalion. She is a social media content creator and, since Oct. 7, has been creating content for Israel Advocacy Organizations. Barak served as a combat support in the Gaza Divisions. He is a photographer and currently works as a producer of music videos and films.

TINSEL LUNCH

A limited number of tickets are available for the Giant Oaks Garden Club’s annual Tinsel luncheon and fundraiser to be held Nov. 1 at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe. GRIEF GROUP

Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, will host a free weekly grief support group from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays beginning Sept. 17 at Concordia of the South Hills, located at 1300 Bower Hill Road. Led by Sister Mary Clark, the series will focus on aspects of attendees’ grief in an emotionally safe and respected space. The sessions will provide an opportunity for adults to share with others who have experienced the loss of someone close to them. Groups are informal and small. Registration is required. The Mt. Lebanon Class of 1984 will hold its 40th reunion Sept. 20-22 at a variety of locations.
