Jim Jamieson
Pittsburgh Magazine has named Mt. Lebanon resident Jim Jamieson its “Three Rivers Champion” in its November edition for his volunteer work in the community.
Jamieson volunteers at Scott Township Public Library, is an administrator of the Veterans Breakfast Club and also helps with a local genealogy group.
He also has volunteered with the Friends of Mt. Lebanon Percussion and the Mt. Lebanon Public Library. He was named Volunteer of the Year by the Allegheny County Library Association in 2007 and also honored during the “This town would be different without” program in Mt. Lebanon.
He retired in August 2003 from Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad Company as director revenue accounting. Jamieson thanked his wife, Margie, for her support with his volunteerism through the years.
Three Rivers Champions is an online recognition program honoring local people for their volunteerism or charitable deeds, according to the magazine.
