Bethel Park School District announces free holiday concerts to be performed by its students. The schedule includes: Neil Armstrong Middle School Fifth-Grade Strings Concert, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11, followed by the Sixth-Grade Strings Concert at 7:30 p.m., at the school; Independence Middle School Seventh-Grade Holiday Concert, 7 p.m. Dec. 12, at the school; George Washington Elementary School Holiday Sing-A-Long, 7 p.m. Dec. 13, at the high school; Independence Middle School Eighth-Grade Holiday Concert, 7 p.m. Dec. 14, at the school; Bethel Park High School Holiday Concert, 7 p.m. Dec. 20, at the high school.
Tickets are on sale now for the Mt. Lebanon Public Library’s ninth annual beer-and-chili fundraiser Brews for a Chili Night IX set for 6 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 27, at the library and featuring live music by RML Jazz, craft beers, cider, soft drinks, chili prepared by pro and amateur chefs, snacks and desserts. All-inclusive tickets are $35 per person. Those wishing to donate more can purchase $50 sponsorship tickets. All proceeds benefit the library. Tickets are limited and sell out quickly. The Bethel Park High School Marching Band has been invited to perform during the pre-game and halftime of the Steelers vs Ravens Dec. 10 football game. This is a Sunday Night nationally-televised game.
