Holiday Services: Week of Dec. 13
At Bower Hill Community Church, 70 Moffett St., Mt. Lebanon, the Cherub Choir will open morning worship at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 17 and the Chancel Choir will be joined by harpist Chelsea Lane to perform selections from Benjamin Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols.”
• Christmas Eve worship — Family worship, 9:30 a.m. Dec. 24, with a children’s Christmas Pageant; Christmas Eve prelude will begin at 6:30 p.m. featuring harpist Chelsea Lane, violinist Carolyn Edwards and organist Anne Smith, with evening candlelight worship service beginning at 7 with a brass quintet.
At Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park, holiday services include:
• Advent Service of Lessons and Carols, 11 a.m. Dec. 17.
• Longest Night Vigil, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 20. Sing, pray and worship surrounded in candlelight and possibly a starry sky. Come at 6:30 for hot chocolate and cider before the outside worship begins at 7. RSVP required to the church office.

At The Church of the Atonement, 618 Washington Ave., Carnegie, Christmas Eve service will be held at 9 a.m. Dec. 24.
At Crossroads Ministries, Finleyville, celebrate “Christmas in the Burgh” each Sunday in December. Gatherings are held at 6 p.m. Saturdays, and at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sundays. There will be no gathering on Dec. 23.
At Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, 120 E. College Street, Canonsburg, a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service of Carols, Scripture and Holy Communion will be offered at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 24. A Christmas Day Holy Communion Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 25.

At Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, a Christmas Remembrance Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 20, in Galbreath Chapel. This special communion service will be a time to remember loved ones, acknowledge grief, and to be reminded again of the comfort and hope that the newborn Christ brings to us all.
