Members of the Mt. Lebanon High School Marching Blue Devils head to Dwight D. Eisenhower’s inaugural parade in 1953. This was the band’s first out-of-town trip, and it was undertaken with lightning speed: they traveled by train to Washington, D.C., performed, and headed home within 36 hours. Notice that the boys traveled separately from the girls.
