USC Coterie
Upper St. Clair Coterie will hold a luncheon on March 9 at Bella Sera, Canonsburg. Registration is at 11:30 followed by lunch at noon. Gala fundraiser
Mt. Lebanon Junior Women’s Club will hold its 20th annual gala at 7 p.m. March 4 at The Charles J. Dougherty Ballroom, Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh. The night will include silent auctions, luxury basket raffles, entertainment and live music, plus hors d’oeuvres and a three-hour premium bar. Dress is black tie-optional. Hoagie fundraiser
The Bethel Park Band plans a hoagie sale on March 4. Three types will be sold, including regular (ham, salami, bologna, cheese), special (same as regular, but with lettuce and tomato packaged separately) and turkey. Cost is $6 each. Bowl Over Cancer
Register by March 10 for Proud Pacers Relay Team’s Saint Patrick’s Day Bowl Over Cancer set for 1 to 4 p.m. March 19 at AMF Mt. Lebanon Bowling Lanes. Wear green or make a strike when the green pin is in the 1, 7 or 10 position and be entered for a chance to win one of several prizes. Tickets at $20 for adults and $15 for kids (ages 6 to 12) include three hours of bowling, shoe rental, two slices of pizza and pop. Children ages 5 and under are free. Arrive 15 minutes early for lane assignment. Registration and prepayment are required by March 10. Night at the Races
The Modernettes Twirling Association will hold its annual Night at the Races Fundraiser on March 11 at the Bethel Park Community Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7. Auditions
For its first show of its 59th season, the South Hills Players (formerly The Baldwin Players) will produce Beth Henley’s classic comedy-drama “Crimes of the Heart.” Auditions will be held at 7 p.m. March 5 and 6 at the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, located on Pine Avenue in Castle Shannon. Performances run April 27-29 and May 5-7. The May 7 performance is a 2 p.m. matinee. All other performances begin at 8 p.m.

Egg hunt/breakfast
Register by March 10 for the Franciscan Child Day Care Center’s 10th annual Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, set for April 1 at the Center, located on Hamilton Road in Castle Shannon. Attend one of four sessions: 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 or 11:30 a.m. Each session includes an indoor Easter egg hunt followed by a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, pancake and sausage breakfast, crafts and prize raffles. Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for children. Proceeds support the Franciscan Child Day Care Center, a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God. Homeschool and after-school spring art classes for children ages 6 and up will be held in the Art Room at In His Presence Church, located on Brookwood Road in Venetia.
