At the Bible Chapel, McMurray, the 49th Annual Men’s Thanksgiving Breakfast will be held from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Nov. 18. Donation is $5 per seat, payable online at www.biblechapel.org/connect/men or at the door if there are seats remaining.
At Bower Hill Community Church, 70 Moffett St., Mt. Lebanon, new Children’s Worship programming serves ages pre-K through high school. PreK (potty-trained) through second grade: children start in Sunday morning worship at 9:30 a.m. and are led to their classes after the children’s sermon. Third through fifth grade: children attend a Sunday school class designed to deepen their study of the Bible through interactive experiences. Meet in Room 203 at 9:30 a.m. Sixth through seventh grade: after Sunday service, older children are invited to the youth lounge (Room 113) for XP3 from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Grades 6 and up: Sunday Night Live is held every second and fourth Sunday of each month from 6 to 8 p.m.
At Center Presbyterian Church, McMurray, pumpkins are available at the church for $5. Proceeds benefit the South West Bethel Synod of Ethiopia’s Literacy Center. For more information, call 724-941-9050.
At Community of Christ Church, Bethel Park, a free drive through live nativity is planned from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 9. Volunteers are needed to help set up that day and are also needed the week prior to get costumes ready, do scenery repairs and fill luminary jars. At Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church (meeting at St. David’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 905 E. McMurray Road, Venetia), Bible Study, is held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Beinhauers Community Room, McMurray. The evening begins with a meal followed by a study of the book “Simple Church” by Thom S. At Ruthfred Lutheran Church, 3401 South Park Road, Bethel Park, GriefShare is offered from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays, through Dec. 11. The 11-week grief support group is for those grieving the loss of a loved one. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required to assure ample supplies are ordered. Lebanon, the Bible study session entitled: “James: Pearls for Wise Living” by Jeff Cavins and Sarah Christmyer, is held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays, through Nov. 20, in Clairvaux Hall. It is geared toward anyone who has struggled to live a truly Christian life, and offers practical solutions for handling everyday circumstances. Fee is $25.
