Alpha Omega Masters

Members of Alpha Omega Masters will meet at 10 a.m. April 5, at the home of Ann Lindsay, who will present the program followed by a light lunch. Election of officers and woman of the year voting will take place at this month’s meeting. Final plans for the annual Founders Day Dinner set for 4 p.m. April 19, at the Grand Concourse, will also be discussed.

Garden club

Bethel Art Guild

Junque sale

St. Winifred Church, Mt. Lebanon, will hold its 48th Annual Junque Sale April 6 and 7, in Benedict Hall, 550 Sleepy Hollow Road. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday (bag sale begins at 11 a.m.). Admission is free. Refreshments will be available.

Craft fair

Comedy Night

St. Bernard School’s 3rd Annual Comedy Night will be held on April 14 in Clairvaux Hall at the school located at 401 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show begins at 7:30. Performers include Terry Jones, Buddy Flip and Joey Callahan. There will be a 50/50 and gift basket raffle. A $25 donation includes entertainment, beer, soft drinks and bottled water. Spring Fling

The Notre Dame Club of Pittsburgh’s Spring Fling event will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. April 14, at the Hofbrauhaus, 2705 S. Water Street, South Side. The Annual Scholarship Fundraiser raffle winners will be announced that evening. This family-friendly event includes dinner, desserts, soft drinks, cash bar, a disc jockey, salsa dancing and a basket raffle. The event is $40 for adults and $10 for children. Auditions

Little Lake Theatre Company, 500 Lakeside Drive, Canonsburg, will hold auditions for children (age 6-18) for its 2018 season. Auditions will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. April 6, and from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 7. Children should prepare to sing a capella 32 bars of an up tempo song of their choice. SPECIAL NEEDS FAIR/EXPO

The 3rd Annual Southwestern Pennsylvania Special Needs Fair & Expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 28, at The Pathfinder School, 50 Donati Road, Bethel Park. The free event is geared toward persons with special needs and their family members, caregivers and guardians. It features both indoor and outdoor activities and will take place rain or shine. Scheduled activities include music and dance performances, opportunities to climb aboard emergency vehicles, playtime with therapy dogs, face painting and more. Parking is free and located along the Pittsburgh Light Rail system at the Dorchester stop. Talent show

Members of the South Hills Chorale will perform a talent show from 6 to 9 p.m. April 7, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the South Hills, 1240 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon. There will be food, beer, wine and soft drinks, and a selection of themed baskets for auction. Admission is $10 at the door.

Live theater

City Theatre Company presents the second-ever production of “The White Chip” by Sean Daniels. A highly-theatrical and often comic journey through Daniels’ real-life struggles with alcoholism, the play features a cast of three: one actor who plays Sean, and two who represent the various voices of reason-and chaos-in his life. Dinner for a Dollar

Community of Christ Church, 3472 South Park Road, Bethel Park, will hold Dinner for a Dollar from 5 to 7 p.m. April 12. The menu will include spaghetti, bread and rolls, garden salad and desserts. Donations of $1 per person or $3 per family are accepted, but not required. No reservations are needed, and no take-out will be available. Oldies dance

Earth Day celebration

The Mt. Lebanon Environmental Team will celebrate Earth Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 22, in Mt. Lebanon Park, 900 Cedar Blvd. This family-friendly event will include crafts, educational activities, food and entertainment. Bereavement support

Our Lady of Grace Parish, Scott, will conduct a bereavement support series for men, women or teens dealing with the loss of a family member or friend due to death in recent months or years. Sessions are held at Rutkowski Religious Education Center, 1730 Bower Hill Road. The group will meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays, April 11 and 25, and May 9 and 23. Family Tyes and Spencer Family Y will offer classes on fly fishing, taught by experienced instructors.
