Comedy Night

St. Bernard School’s 3rd Annual Comedy Night will be held on April 14 in Clairvaux Hall at the school located at 401 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show begins at 7:30. Spring Fling

The Notre Dame Club of Pittsburgh’s Spring Fling event will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. April 14, at the Hofbrauhaus, 2705 S. Water Street, South Side. The Annual Scholarship Fundraiser raffle winners will be announced that evening. Hoagie sale

The Bethel Park Music Department will hold a hoagie sale April 14, featuring three types of hoagies: Regular, Special and Turkey. Cost is $6 per hoagie. Scholarship luncheon

Dinner for a Dollar

Community of Christ Church, 3472 South Park Road, Bethel Park, will hold Dinner for a Dollar from 5 to 7 p.m. April 12. The menu will include spaghetti, bread and rolls, garden salad and desserts. Donations of $1 per person or $3 per family are accepted, but not required. No reservations are needed, and no take-out will be available. Tween Night

Peters Township Parks & Recreation will hold Tween Night from 6 to 8 p.m. April 13, at the Community Recreation Center, 700 Meredith Drive, Venetia. The chaperoned event for tweens 9-12 years of age will include games, crafts and snacks. Cost is $5 for members and $8 for non-members. Special Needs Fair/Expo

BAND FESTIVAL

The 15th annual Three Rivers Community Band Festival will be held from 2:30 to 5 p.m. April 14, at Boyce Middle School Theater, 1500 Boyce Road, Upper St. Clair. Theater doors open at 1:45. Participating bands include Community Band South, East Winds Symphonic Band, Pine Creek Community Band and the “ultimate community band” made up of musicians from more than 50 community bands in the region. Waste collection

Upper St. Clair Township will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 14, at the municipal building, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road. Earth Day Celebration

An Earth Day Celebration will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. April 22, at the Community & Recreation Center, Upper St. Clair. Meet in the main lobby to learn how to load the iNaturalist App onto your smartphone using wifi available in the C&RC. Next, move to the Pavilion in the park where USC CLS members will be on hand to lead and show how to identify species in the park. Practice taking photo on your phone and uploading them to the iNaturalist site for the following weeks’ City Nature Challenge. Finally, celebrate Earth Day with a free pizza party.

Nutrition for teens

WROC at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, will offer Nutrition and Wellness for Tweens and Teens from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, April 17 and 24, for girls ages 11-14. Kathy Parry, nutritionist, author and mom, will discuss the confusing world of food choices with fun activities, recipes and healthy snack samples.
