BP FCCLA earns medals

Bethel Park High School students earned five medals, including one gold, three silver and one bronze at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America’s State Conference, held March 14-16 in the Poconos. Freshman Kelly Katilius earned a Gold Medal in the Menu Planning event. Silver Medals were won by junior Mikaela Narr in the Focus on Children event; freshman Alyssa Vetere in the Recycle/Redesign event; and freshmen Caitlin Chichwak and Jessica Toogood in the Food Innovations event. Freshmen Makayla Carter and Caley Richards earned a Bronze Medal in the Event Planning event. The students were prepared for this competition by Bethel Park High School Family and Consumer Science Teacher Jill Simpson.
