Alpha Omega Master

Mega flea market
Angel Ridge Animal Rescue, a shelter and sanctuary for dogs, cats and horses, will hold its first Mega Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19, on the grounds of the rescue located at 390 Old Hickory Ridge Road, Washington. In the event of rain, the event will be moved indoors. There will be household items, collectables, jewelry, accessories for people and their pets and more. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Those wishing to participate may bring a table to set up with their items for a $15 fee. Friends of Family Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking donations for its fifth annual Family Treasures Sale to be held in October. Upper St. Clair Public Library will host Creative Café, a group to help support people’s creative endeavors. The group meets from 2 to 3 p.m. the first Friday of each month. Live theater
South Park Theatre will open its 2018 Season on May 3 with Neil Simon’s comedy “California Suite.” Performances run at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday, through May 19. Plays and musicals continue all summer long. They include: “The Cemetery Club,” “Seasonal Allergies,” “Why Do Fools Fall In Love,” “Catch Me If You Can,” “Funny Money,” “Now & Then” and “The Stranger.” Performances take place on the indoor Mainstage, and tickets are $15 for plays, $18 for the musical. The South Park Children’s Theatre will kick off its 2018 Season with “Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp.” Children’s theatre performances continue with “The Tale of Peter Rabbit,” “The Little Mermaid,” “The Elves & the Shoemaker” and “Thwacked: A Fractured Fairytale Musical.” Children’s Theatre productions are performed for kids, by kids, and shows take place on the outdoor stage — picnics and lawn chairs welcomed. State of Township
The State of the Township Luncheon, a special event coordinated by the Peters Township Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Municipality of Peters Township and Peters Township School District, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 9, at Valley Brook Country Club, 425 Hidden Valley Road, McMurray. Student talent showcase
Bethel Park High School will stage Telerama, its annual student talent showcase, at 7:30 p.m. May 4 and 5, in the Bethel Park High School auditorium at 309 Church Road. Each night will feature a new set of acts, including the Drum Line, Bethettes, Majorettes, singers, dancers, instrumentalists and the comedic acting talents of the Senior Emcees. Arts Fest/STEAM Expo
Bethel Park High School will host the Bethel Park School District’s annual Arts Fest and STEAM Expo from 1 to 4 p.m. May 5, at 309 Church Road. The event will feature artwork from all eight Bethel Park schools, as well as art demonstrations, art vendors and several hands-on STEAM activities for attendees to try. Admission is free.
Violin/organ concert
Westminster Music & Arts Series will conclude its regular season with a violin and organ concert by Andrew Fouts and Justin Wallace. Dinner for a Dollar

Refugee fair

The Mt Lebanon High School Class of 1978 will host its 40th anniversary reunion on Sept. 22, at the South Hills Country Club.
