Little Lake Theatre Company, Canonsburg, announces its 70th anniversary opener, Ronald Harwood’s “The Dresser,” through May 5.

Sir, the last of the great breed of English actors, is on the brink of a nervous breakdown and refuses to perform in the evening’s performance of King Lear. With herculean effort on the part his faithful dresser Norman, Sir finally makes it on stage for the performance of his lifetime.

Directed by James Critchfield, “The Dresser” also celebrates a 30-year reunion for several cast members. Jay Breckenridge, Art DeConciliis and Mark Stevenson performed together in the Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival 30 seasons ago and are back together again in a play that celebrates the life of a great Shakespearean actor.

Performances run at 8 p.m. April 26-28 and May 3-5, and at 2 p.m. April 29.

Tickets are $21-$22.50 for adults and $14 for children.

For tickets, visit www.littlelake.org or call 724-745-6300.
