Local group plans ‘Day of Action’ to protect families at the border
The Social Justice Seekers (SJS) of South Hills invites individuals, churches and community organizations that have concerns about the treatment of immigrants arriving at the Mexico border to join in an effort on Dec. 14 to address the inhumane policy that separated families earlier this year. “Day of Action to Protect Families at the Border” is a day of prayer and fasting. Individuals are also encouraged to contact their elected officials to demand they address this issue and reunite these families. Questions about the program can be directed to SJSImmigration@gmail.com.
