Pittsburgh Chinese Academy celebrates Chinese New Year

The Pittsburgh Chinese Academy, a nonprofit, nondenominational, independent school located in the Center Presbyterian Church at 255 Center Church Road in McMurray, celebrated the Chinese New Year Feb. 25. To celebrate the Year of the Dog, all classes performed songs, skits, poetry or played instruments. There was artwork displayed from students in the art and calligraphy culture classes. After the performances, all guests enjoyed a feast of authentic Chinese cuisine including homemade dumplings.
