At Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church (meeting at St. David’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 905 E. McMurray Road, Venetia), Bible Study is held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Beinhauers Community Room, McMurray. The evening begins with a meal followed by a study of the book “Simple Church” by Thom S. At Ruthfred Lutheran Church, 3401 South Park Road, Bethel Park, regularly scheduled hours return with Sunday worship at 8:30 and 11 a.m., and 7 p.m. Communion will be served at all three services. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:45.
At South Hills Assembly of God, Bethel Park, worship is held at 6 p.m. Saturdays (casual service) and 10:30 a.m. Sundays.
• Women of Excellence Bible study, for women of all ages, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 9 in the multi-purpose room. Preregister if childcare is needed.
• A new session of Grief Share meets from 10 a.m. to noon or 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 11-April 5. This Bible-based support group consists of DVD teaching followed by time for discussion and sharing. Start anytime and return for any of the classes you missed. Registration is $15 and includes a workbook.

At Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, First Place 4 Health, a Christ-centered weight-loss and healthy living program, meets from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays, Jan. 22-April 9.
