Kim Guthrie
Kim Guthrie was chosen as the recipient of the 2017 Women’s Business Network Inc.’s Jean Walsh Scholarship Award. She will be applying the scholarship grant toward achieving a Review and Reputation Management certification.
A graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Secondary Education (dual major in English and Communication) and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University, Guthrie spent 16 years in education, where she was both a 10th-grade English teacher and the sole teacher of a multimedia program. Throughout her teaching career, she was involved in creating numerous graphic design projects. In 2014, Guthrie resigned from teaching to follow her graphic design passion and began taking marketing and business courses and then began working as the graphic design and marketing coordinator for a home health agency in Bethel Park. In September 2016, Guthrie ventured out on her own and opened Joyous Graphics Lab.
Guthrie is an active member of Women’s Business Network, McMurray Chapter, as well as a volunteer for Twilight Wish Foundation, Washington County Chapter, whose mission is to honor and enrich the lives of deserving seniors through wish granting celebrations that connect generations. She resides in Eighty Four with her husband, Jason.
