At its Jan. 23 regular meeting, the Bethel Park Board of School Directors donated a copy of the book, “The Wild Blue: The Men and Boys Who Flew the B24s Over Germany” by noted historian Stephen Ambrose, to the Bethel Park High School Library in memory of Frank Amaditz, father of School Director David Amaditz, who passed away in October. Mr. Amaditz served as a photographer in the Army-Air Corps during World War II, where he was stationed in Italy. He developed the pictures that were taken before and after bombing runs by the B24 bomber planes, so the commanders could determine if the bombing runs were successful or not. Presenting the book to Mr. Amaditz is Bethel Park School Board President Donna Cook.
