At New Day Assembly of God, Upper St. Clair, a bus trip to the Museum of the Bible and Washington, D.C., is planned. The all-inclusive trip will take place Sept. 21-25, and includes five days/four nights lodging in D.C., eight meals, two guided tours, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam, Iwo Jima, Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. memorials; Capitol Hill, White House, Embassy Row, Smithsonian (four hours), Kennedy graves, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Mt. Vernon, and a tram ride through Arlington National Cemetery. There will also be a visit to the Museum of the Bible, which opened last November and features six floors including part of a recreated 1st century Jewish village, ballroom, rooftop garden with Biblical plants and a 140-foot LED screen on the ceiling of the museum’s lobby. The museum houses more than 40,000 items with some of the oldest and most important Biblical artifacts and documents in human history. Cost of the trip is $515, double occupancy. At Ruthfred Lutheran Church, 3401 South Park Road, Bethel Park, the adult Sunday school class continues to meet with a study on “The Hard Sayings of the Bible.”
• The Ambassadors, a group of young students at the Association of Free Lutheran Bible School, will perform at 7 p.m. July 11, in the sanctuary.

At South Hills Assembly of God, Bethel Park, the South Hills Summer Spectacular returns July 25-28 in the church’s parking lot. There will be carnival rides, games, prizes, food and more.
