Flea market
The DeMarillac Guild at St. Louise de Marillac Church will hold its Timeless Treasures flea market from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 20 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 21, in the LeGras Parish Center (lower leverl), 320 McMurray Road, Upper St. Clair. New this year is a presale from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission for the presale will be $5. There will also be a boutique offering better items.

Barbeque
The Bethel Park Lions will hold its inaugural barbeque from 4 to 7 p.m. July 13, at Lions Park on Irishtown Road. Dinner includes a pulled pork sandwich, 1/4 of a chicken, five-bean baked beans, red skin potato salad and drink for $12 per person (no substitutions). Rita’s Italian Ice will be available for purchase. All proceeds benefit Lions Charities and used for maintenance of Bethel Lions Park. Bring unwanted eyeglasses to be donated to the needy. Whiskey Rebellion Day
The Oliver Miller Homestead, South Park, will mark the annual Whiskey Rebellion Day from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. July 15. Narration will be interrupted by three skits which help illustrate how the Millers were tied to the Whiskey Rebellion. The skits (Serving the Writ, The Women Speak and William Miller is Kentucky Bound) will begin at 2:30. The whiskey-making process will be explained in the barn and other buildings on the site will be opened. Admission is $2 per person.
PHLF tours
Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation offers the following tours:
• Free tours at the Old Allegheny County Jail Museum, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays, July 16, 23 and 30. Last tour leaves at 12:30. Reservations are not required, but appreciated.
• Free Friday Walking Tour: Oakland Civic Center/Forbes Avenue area, 10 to 11 a.m. July 13, 20 and 27. Meet at the corner of Forbes Avenue and Schenley Drive Extention, near the dinosaur statue. Tour ends outside of Heinz Memorial Chapel.

Shredding event
State Senator Guy Reschenthaler will hold a document shredding event from 9:30 to 11 a.m. July 14, in the parking lot of Thomas Jefferson High School, 310 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills. The event is for individuals only (no businesses) and there is a limit of three small boxes per car. Town hall meeting
Several directors of the Bethel Park School District will host a Community Engagement Town Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. July 19, at the Bethel Park Community Center “Classroom” to receive input, ideas and general feedback from the community regarding the Bethel Park School District.
Theatre class/show
Alabaster Children’s Theatre summer musical theatre class and show has begun rehearsals at St. David’s Church, 905 E. McMurray Road, Venetia. Classes are from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays, through Aug. 6. Whiskey Rebellion Day
Join the soldiers of Wayne’s 4th Sub-Legion on July 15, as they drill for Whiskey Rebellion Day at Woodville Plantation, 1375 Washington Pike, Bridgeville. There will be a flag raising ceremony at 1 p.m., School of the Soldier at 1:15, Trooping the Legion at 2:30, 1st Day’s Battle at 3, 2nd Day’s Battle at 3:45, Musket Firing Exhibition at 4 and flag lowering and military tattoo at 5. From noon to 5 p.m., visit the encampment, view 18th century cooking demonstrations and tour the house. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Ages 6 and under are free. Free concert
The Bethel Park Community Foundation will host the 2018 Dean Streator Tower Concert Series on July 15, featuring New Vintage Big Band directed by Fred Perino and Max Gonano. The concert begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Bethel Park Community Center. Admission is free, but donations are accepted to benefit Bethel Park Community Foundation.

Keynotes Summer Social
Keynotes of Mt. Lebanon will celebrate talented music students at its annual Summer Social set for July 22 at the LeMont Restaurant downtown. A social begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 and entertainment by Gipsy Stringz (former Tamburitzans) at 7:30. There will be a cash bar, and valet parking will be available for $7.
