Fitness for seniors

WROC at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, offers Fitness for Seniors (55+), including: Arthritis Exercise Program, 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. Mondays, through Aug. 6; Gentle Yoga Morning & Evening Class, 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, through Aug. 22. Retired Men meet

The Retired Men’s Luncheon Group will meet at noon on Aug. 16 at Pleasant Hills Presbyterian Church, 199 Old Clairton Road. Ken Kaszak will discuss investor psychology and pass out written information. Cost of lunch is $8, payable at the door. To reserve lunch, call the church office at 412-655-2000 ext. 0.

Outer Banks trip

LifeSpan Bethel Park Center is accepting reservations for a trip to the Outer Banks Sept. 10-13. For reservations, call 412-831-7111.

Chair dance class

Senior chair dance classes are offered from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Mondays at the Peters Township Recreation Center for those age 60 and over. Class begins with a warm up stretch followed by a fun dance routine. Cost is $60 for members and $90 for non-members. For information, visit www.peterstownship.com.

Pickleball

The Community & Recreation Center at Boyce Mayview Park, Upper St. Clair, offers beginner pickleball play from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Mondays, and intermediate/advanced pickleball play from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. To learn more, call 412-221-1099.

TOPS

Enjoy contests and speakers while losing weight for $5 per month with TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 75. The group meets from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at Carnegie Retirement Residence, Railroad Avenue. Weigh-ins at 6 p.m. For more information, call Francis at 412-818-7489.

Theater-minded seniors

Better Than Ever Independents, also known as the Sassy Seniors, is a theatrical group that performs vaudeville-type shows at nursing homes, AARP meetings and more. New members age 50 and older are needed. For more information, email jangary2@hotmail.com.

Dormont AARP

Dormont AARP #3016 meets the second Thursday of each month throughout the year at Unity Presbyterian Church, 1146 Greentree Road. All seniors age 55 and older and new members are welcome. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. A meeting follows at noon. Activities include entertainment, speakers, pancake brunch, covered dish dinner, annual picnic, fundraisers and travel opportunities.
