College: Week of July 25
Emily Stoehr, a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and a rising junior at The College of Wooster, received the Andrew Dearborn Cronin Emerging Leader Award given to a sophomore who has exhibited leadership in campus organization and the campus community as a whole at Wooster’s 48th annual Dr. David W. Dewald Recognition Banquet.
Christopher William Tarr of Upper St. Clair has been awarded a Doctorate of Education degree in Special Education from Slippery Rock University. Dr. Tarr is a 1994 graduate of Washington High School and a 1999 graduate of Washington & Jefferson College. He received his master’s degree from Duquesne University in 2003. He is married to the former Gina Colpo and is the father of Eli, Anna and Samuel. His parents are William and Rosemary Tarr of Washington.
Victoria Magnotti of Bethel Park was selected among six incoming freshmen to join the Bethany College Honors Program. She will receive a $23,000 annual scholarship. Selection is based upon secondary school record, a required essay, references, and interviews with the Honors Program Advisory Committee. A 2018 graduate of Bethel Park High School, Victoria is the daughter of Dominic and Lisa Magnotti.
