Health expo
A free senior health expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 30, at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South, Bethel Park. There will be vendors and expert advice on nutrition, exercise, health care, financial planning and more. Meet with a financial planner, learn more about MyChart interactive health records and find an ideal Doctor Match. Free cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure screenings will be available throughout the day, and attendees can talk with a Wellness Coach and review prescriptions with a pharmacist. Allegheny Health Network physicians and nurses will deliver health talks and presentations on a variety of topics, including cardiac care at 10 a.m., osteoporosis at 11, diabetes at noon and orthopedics at 1 p.m. A health care “know-how” discussion at 2 p.m. will provide an opportunity for participants to learn more about Medicare options and ask questions to experts. Healthy cooking demonstrations will also be offered during the event at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. There will be free giveaways, snacks and refreshments throughout the day. Fitness for seniors
WROC at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, offers Fitness for Seniors (55+), including: Arthritis Exercise Program, 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. Mondays, July 2-Aug. 6; Gentle Yoga Morning & Evening Class, 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, July 9-Aug. 22. Carnival
Chabad of the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon, will hold a senior carnival at noon on July 3. The event will include a picnic-style lunch, games and the presentation “5 Tips to Avoid Hospitalization” by Home Instead. Suggested donation is $5. To register, call 412-278-2658. Wheelchair accessible.

Chair dance class
Senior chair dance classes are offered from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Mondays at the Peters Township Recreation Center for those age 60 and over. Pickleball

Dormont AARP
Dormont AARP #3016 meets the second Thursday of each month throughout the year at Unity Presbyterian Church, 1146 Greentree Road. All seniors age 55 and older and new members are welcome.
