Bethel Women’s Club

Vendors needed
Reservations are now being taken for the April 7 Spring Craft Fair at Christ United Methodist Church in Bethel Park. The event includes wide aisles for browsing, plenty of parking and free admission. Proceeds benefit Prime Time Adult Care Inc., a nonprofit organization offering medical supervision and physical and mental stimulation of the frail elderly or those with Alzheimer’s disease. Empty Bowls Dinner
The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s annual Empty Bowls Dinner will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. March 18, at Rodef Shalom, 4905 5th Ave., Oakland. A meal of soup and bread will be served as a reminder of the hunger that many in our region are facing. This year’s event, benefitting the food bank and Just Harvest, will feature artisan pottery for guests to take home, soups from local restaurants, children’s activities and an auction featuring artwork and celebrity-autographed bowls. MDA gala
Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) of Western PA’s Toast to a Cure Gala will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. March 22, at the Circuit Center Ballroom. A VIP reception starts at 5:30. The McMurray Lions Club is selling high quality, heavy-duty vinyl trash bags in 30- and 33-gallon size for trash, and 18-gallon size for kitchen use. Brooms are available as well. High school musicals
• Upper St. Clair High School’s Performing Arts Department will present the Tony Award-winning musical “Evita” March 15-17, in the Upper St. Clair High School theatre. Peters Township Recreation Center will offer a one-day bus trip on April 25. Call to artists
Our Lady of Grace Church, Scott Township, is seeking artists to participate in an exhibition of their work in the 2018 Pentecost Sacred Arts Festival, set for May 16-20. Easter egg hunt
