Old Schoolhouse Players opens its 2018 season with the new comedy, “Things My Mother Taught Me,” at the newly-renovated Bud Allen Theater in the Mount Pleasant Community Center. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. March 23 and 24, and 3 p.m. March 25. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors/students and $10 for children under 12. Mt. Lebanon Public Library will host a Computer and Electronic Device Recycling Event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 24, in the larger parking lot behind the library. Vehicle unloading assistance will be provided. In addition, on-site hard drive shredding will be performed by CyberCrunch at a donation of $10 per hard drive. CyberCrunch personnel will be onsite to help remove hard drives from your computer. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Mt. Lebanon Public Library. H&R Block will hold a free community shredding event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 24, at the H&R Block office located at Raceway Plaza, 2100 Washington Pike, Suite 650, Heidelberg. Each participant is allowed one box of personal information to be shredded. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-HR-BLOCK.

The Bethel Park Police Department will host a free community program, designed to raise awareness of the impacts of impaired driving at 6:30 p .m. March 27, in the high school auditorium on Church Road. The program will be presented by the Trooper Kenton Iwaniec Memorial Foundation on the 10th anniversary of his passing, to honor DUI victims, raise awareness of the seriousness of impaired driving and encourage the community to have a positive influence on the reduction of impaired driving. Trooper Iwaniec was killed on March 27, 2008, as he was returning home after work and was hit head-on by an impaired driver who crossed the centerline and hit Trooper Iwaniec’s vehicle less than two miles from his home.

The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum’s “Bunny Trolley” will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 27-29 and April 3 and 4. Ongoing activities include an egg hunt, a springtime craft activity, 4-H’s live rabbits and photo opportunities with the bunny. Trolley rides leave every 20 minutes, with the last ride leaving at 4 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults; $9 for seniors 62 and older; and $7 for children 1 through 15 years old. Children younger than 1 are free. Admission also includes an introductory film on the trolley era, photo exhibits and a guided tour of the trolley display building.
