The Friends of the Hollywood Theater (no longer affiliated with the Dormont movie theater) will hold a Noir Night Out event on April 6, at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall, 300 Beechwood Ave., Carnegie. Doors open at 6 p.m. followed by the movie at 7. The film is the 1950 crime drama “The Asphalt Jungle.” Tickets are $15 for non-members and $12 for members and may be purchased in advance at https://goo.gl/gDfZS. Admission includes chili, baked beans, potato salad and two complimentary drink tickets. Food and drink are not permitted in the theater; guests are asked to arrive early. Movie only tickets are $2. The American Lung Association’s Fight For Air Climb will be held on April 7, at a new location this year, the JLL Center at Tower Two-Sixty, located at 260 Forbes Avenue. Local athletes, community members and first responders will scale more than 36 floors – that’s 665 steps — as part of Fight For Air Climb – Pittsburgh, to support those living with lung disease in Pennsylvania. Parking is available in the Market Square Garage for a minimal fee. Opening ceremony is at 8:30 a.m.; climbers should arrive 30 minutes prior. South West Communities Chamber of Commerce’s Business Advancement Workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at the Bridgeville Public Library, 505 McMillen Street. Registration is from 8:20 to 8:50 a.m. Register at www.swccoc.org.
St. Bernard School’s 3rd Annual Comedy Night will be held on April 14 in Clairvaux Hall at the school located at 401 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show begins at 7:30. Performers include Terry Jones, Buddy Flip and Joey Callahan. There will be a 50/50 and gift basket raffle. A $25 donation includes entertainment, beer, soft drinks and bottled water. Upper St. Clair Public Library will host Creative Café, a group to help support people’s creative endeavors. The group meets from 2 to 3 p.m. the first Friday of each month.
