‘Willy Wonka’
Old Schoolhouse Players will present Roald Dahl’s “Willy Wonka” May 11-20 in the Bud Allison Auditorium in the Mount Pleasant Township Community Center, Hickory.
Based on the 1971 movie that starred Gene Wilder, the stage version of the musical has many of the memorable songs from the movie as well as new ones. The show follows the adventures of Charlie Bucket, one of five children who receive a golden ticket to tour the chocolate factory.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. May 11, 12, 18 and 19, and at 3 p.m. May 12 and 20
Tickets are $20 for adults, $16 for seniors (60+) and students, and $10 for children 12 and under.
